Webinars by the UU Church on reproductive justice by and through men, and by the Methodist Church on reproductive justice needs of women who are victims of Human Trafficking.
October 1, 2013 – Today’s the opening day of Affordable Health Care through the federal marketplace. Help spread the word about “What’s in it for Women” and their extended families and friends. June 10, 2013 – Act NOW to write or call the Governor and your Ohio representatives to ask them to OPPOSE three dangerous amendments in Ohio’s budget that will be finalized in mid to late June. Act NOW to nominate yourself or others and support the travel of people to the Leading Faithfully Institute held the first weekend of August in Wisconsin.
April 15, 2013 – Summary of 10 ways to help, starting TODAY, ranging from Short-Term-Urgent to Long-Term-Important, to improve the health of women, and really ALL Ohioans. The Ohio House is debating the budget, and there are three amendments that we OPPOSE. The first will DeFund Planned Parenthood. Yes. It’s back. The second will redirect TANF funds to so-called “Crisis Pregnancy Centers”, which are the ones that spread misinformation about birth control and abortion. The third will yank out Medicaid Expansion, which will leave hundreds of thousands of Ohioans without health care, and keep them in our Emergency Rooms, getting the most expensive care at the highest level of suffering.

September 12, 2012 – Election only 8 weeks away! New Ohio RCRC by-line: “Promoting Reproductive Justice for All”. Support our Project to help college students at religiously affiliated or founded colleges and universities around Ohio to ENGAGE in this year’s election by Registering to vote, Re-Registering if they have moved or changed names, Voting Absentee if that is appropriate for them, and VOTING by November 6. Vote YES on Issue 2, to Reform Redistricting in Ohio. Keep calling and writing your Ohio legislators; they could push terrible bills through during Lame Duck season, and another draconian bill has surfaced that could ban all abortions for women who appear to be from cultures like China, India, and the Middle-East. Clergy: Mark your calendars for the November 12th “Clergy Empowerment for Reproductive Justice” program. Everyone: FOCO’s Roe vs. Wade celebration event will happen the last week of January, perhaps 1/29, 1/30, or 1/31. Block them all off until further notice!

Important time to write your legislators and governor about two dangerous bills, “Heartbeat” and “De-fund Planned Parenthood”, because action could happen as soon as next week. New partnerships with Healthy Families Ohio, a coalition to fight the Personhood Amendment’s progress, and Choice Network, a social service agency working out of Ohio abortion clinics that helps women and families through all options: abortion, adoption, and parenthood.
