SUPPORT FOR WOMEN

Because we believe that it is essential for people of religious faith to visibly demonstrate their support of women's reproductive freedom, we offer opportunities for both laypersons and members of the clergy to be a religious voice for choice.

All-Options Counseling:

Our counseling service provides access to a clergy member trained in supporting a woman in making decisions in keeping with her own conscience, beliefs, and unique circumstances. Our clergy counselors will also provide counseling for friends or relatives. Appreciation Ceremonies for Clinic Staff:

Every year the Ohio Reproductive Coalition hosts Clinic Appreciation ceremonies to provide morale support to staff members at women’s reproductive health centers in Central Ohio. Our ceremonies are attended by clergy, Board members, and friends of the Religious Coalition. We provide refreshments, messages from clergy, encouragement, and an opportunity for the staff to talk to religious pro-choice supporters. Peaceful Presence:

We stand in non-confrontational and pastoral Peaceful Presence outside reproductive health clinics in support of their work, their staffs, and patients to demonstrate in non-violent ways that people of faith support access to safe, legal abortions. Peaceful Presence is a strategy of silent witnessing and non-engagement.
