Earlier this week, Ohio legislators reintroduced a bill to block abortion access as early as six weeks, when most people don’t even know they are pregnant. (This is their *fifth* attempt in nine years to pass a six-week abortion ban.)
Elected leaders in both the Ohio House and Senate, as well as Governor Mike DeWine have made this cruel, dangerous, and unconstitutional bill their first priority. Meanwhile, the real needs of Ohioans are ignored — such as securing affordable health insurance and paid family leave, and finding real solutions to our staggering infant and maternal mortality crisis.
Help us fight this bill to ensure people receive the care they need and deserve.
Make no mistake — abortion bans like this are part of an extreme, religious agenda to control people’s bodies and beliefs.
This bill is designed to challenge Roe v. Wade and ban access to safe and legal abortion care by redefining when life begins. But this is a moral question that cannot and should not be legislated.
